While not everyone is interested in the history of the cultural significance of food the people that are could use more consumables. The Foundation of taste infographic is a peek into the unique world of food from around the world. Bridging a gap between people from different cultures and nations through food the infographic layout how traditionally significant dishes are more similar than you might think. The goal of this project is to create a sense of wonder and community between different cultures and encourage meal diversity in the household.
How does it work
The Foundation of Taste pulls together 5 major regions of the world and relates them though flavors! By featuring one dish of each of the regions, the infographic gives an overview of most commonly used herbs and base level ingredients that make the dish come alive.
What does it accomplish
The focus of this piece is to make each region easily distinguishable along with helping the viewer catch common similarities used in cooking around the world.
Where does it go
Printed in a large 3ft x 9ft scale this works could find a great home in school cafeterias, libraries, and subways.

Along with the infographic, viewers can easily navigate to the foundation of taste website. There they’ll have access to the real recipes for each of the dishes listed.
